Forever Autumn

Back when I was first in college (try #1), I became a big fan of the Moody Blues ... okay, there was a woman involved, but I had always like the band.... Anyway, Justin Hayward - guitarist and lead singer of the Moody Blues - did a project with Jeff Wayne; a musical adaptation of HG Wells War of the Worlds.

This song was my favorite from the whole album, and contains one of my favorite set of lyric lines ever:

Through autumn’s golden gown we used to kick our way
You always loved this time of year
Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now
’Cause you're not here
