Bob el Jardinero

Hey, what're y'all getting ready to do out here?

Well, as you know, the guy who owns the house is building some more here on our l'il cul-de-sac...

...over by the banananana trees,

and we've got this spot that we (okay, Jen did, 'cause I was on my visa run) bricked in for a raised bed last year.

So we're gonna get somea that dirt they've dug up,

put it in a wheelbarrow,

and dump it in the bed...

until it's all nice...

and filled up ready for planting!
You did WHAT??
But... it's all different and stuff.

I'm not sure about this, guys...
seriously, I don't know if I like it.

Hey, what's this???

Wow!! This litter box is HUGE!!!
No, Jamba, we got some plants and veggie seeds to plant in there.

I better inspek it, then, give it the sniff test...

...and see what's under here, and...
...look at it from all angles.

Yeah, I think this spacing is all right, Fuzzy Hooman.

And these will make excellent snacks.

And then they were watered...

and watered some more.

Teh End

Nu-uh!

Not only did we not steal the dirt, the owner loaned us the wheelbarrow and shovel!

Also, I volunteered to help (and was accepted) him unload a delivery of roofing materials, so you can even say we 'paid' for the dirt.

So there.

Like. Thanks for the photo trip. Maybe next year I'll be doing such gardening in our new locale . . .

I love, love, love the Thoreau quote you chose for the blog. How long has that been there? (Must confess, since joining FaceBook, I have not been on anyone's blog very often.)

Cats just LOVE to help. And of course they assume if you dig up some nice fresh dirt that it was put there for their, um, use.

Am very envious of you guys out in your nice sunny garden as we sit here in the frozen North of New Jersey.

So cool! Like Mauigirl, I am jealous, as well. Can't wait to begin our frenzied moment or two in the sun here. It's just such a long wait until Spring for these here parts.

Isn't it amazing how much "help" our kittehs are when there's a project to be finished? Of course, they are always the self-appointed supervisor(s)!

You guys do excellent work. :)

Dirtnappers!!!

...well, then you "paid" for it in "comments." :)

Your kittehz are SO beautiful!

Our Dooryard herb garden is under at least six feet of snow, and won't be plantable for many moons, so it's nice to see you getting stuff in the ground.

Have you considered planting some catnip? Our kittehz absolutely LOVE it fresh!
