Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts, a son of one of the most storied families in American politics, a man who knew triumph and tragedy in near-equal measure and who will be remembered as one of the most effective lawmakers in the history of the Senate, died late Tuesday night. He was 77. (link)
Farewell, Senator. You were one of the best.
yes, he was.
ReplyDeleteI cried. He's been a hero of mine for decades.
ReplyDeleteIt was always nice when I was urged to "call [your] Senator" about some issue, and I knew I didn't HAVE to - he was always on my page. I could just wait a week and call to thank him for his vote.
Replacing him will be difficult at best.
Teddy is irreplaceable in my humble yet vocal opinion.
ReplyDeleteHe was the voice of the voiceless.
