My brother continues uploading slide photos my dad took when the family lived in Alaska a half-century ago:Ever since I was a small child these photos have entranced me. I'll try not to bore you by posting too many of them. :)
I can't get 'nuff either, and I wuz there! I just wish we had snapped the INSIDE of these buildings. The entire basement was our self-styled roller skating rink, the second floor above the dining hall was a splendiforous library with window seats and secret nooks and NO LIBRARIANS or other patrons. And the attic of the Girls Building was a child's paradise - the place we stored all the gifts that came from Outside (anyplace that wasn't Alaska).
It was indescribable - it all entranced me too, Brother Bob!!
post all you want brother. aint boring me a bit they are too cool for school!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous photo, loaded with... what? Something of the feel of a movie set, a story about a place far away in a time long past.
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em coming, Cuz!
Post away, they are fascinating.
