I Knew This Would Happen...

...but I went ahead and installed the Romulan warp engine (which uses a quantum singularity, aka black hole) as a backup power source.

    those quantum thingies can be tricky.
    i'd try reflecting power through the warp core through the solar array but thats just me

    Are you sure it was a Romulan warp core and not an Infinite Improbability Drive?

    Those Romulan cores are really resistant to adaptation by the star ships of non-hostile beings, Bob. You might need to switch story lines and try some Herbert Spice Melange Theory. You should be able to achieve some foldspace with that working for you.
