Random Observation

When writing (or editing) book four of a series, why would you include vast swaths of material from the previous three volumes?

It's an imperfect world, is what it is....

    true but it's the only world we got.

    That stands as one of my big annoyances w/ series'. Anything beyond a passing reminder is, to me, a waste of page space, and a lazy way to fill a book. The fourth book...you would think everyone would be on board by then...
