Caoineadh Cu Chulainn

Cu Chulainn (pronounced kuh-HOO-lin) is the mythical hero of Ireland.

This is his lament from the wonderful Riverdance, played on the uillean (that's Irish for elbow) pipes:

  1. Caoineadh Cu Chulainn calls the spirit from across the sea and from across the ages.
    I've never been to the Isles physically but the lament makes me feel like I've never left.
